Angelicum Philosophy Professor Dies

Father Jerome Joachim Haldus, OP died suddenly at Georgetown University Hospital on July 3, 2008, at the age of 71.
In 1981, Fr. Haladus was assigned to the Angelicum to study for a Doctorate in Philosophy and remained on campus as a member of the Faculty of Philosophy for over twenty years, until his failing health required his return to Washington, DC. At St. Dominic's Priory there, he resided in the Center for Assisted Living and served as guest lecturer at the Dominican House of Studies until his unexpected death.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Fr. Haldus was celebrated on July 10, 2008 by Fr. Raymond Daley, OP, Vicar Provincial, joined by members of the Province. During the Mass, Father Daley read a letter addressed to the Provincial, who was out of the country, by Very Rev. Joseph Agius, OP, Rector of the Angelicum, praising Fr. Haladus presence at the University and Dominican Community. RIP
