Rome prepares for 2 million pilgrims for beatification of Angelicum alumnus


The Eternal City is preparing for an estimated two million pilgrims for the beatification of Angelicum alumnus Karol Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II) this coming May 1, 2011, when the city will be thronged with Easter week tourists. There are no tickets and no reservations for the event as many of the faithful want to be there to see the Polish-born pontiff beatified, the last formal step before canonization.
