Deadline to Nominate Scholars for the 2014 Novak Award

The deadline to nominate candidates for the 2014 Novak Award is November 15, 2013.
Who can nominate? Professors, university faculty members, and scholars may nominate qualified individuals
Who is eligible for nomination? Scholars who have received a doctorate within the last five calendar years, or who are currently a doctoral candidate from an accredited program in theology, religion, economics, philosophy, or business.
How do I nominate a scholar? Simply submit the short online nomination formand Acton will take care of the rest! Nominations received outside the online form will not be considered.
Nominated individuals have until December 15, 2013 to submit application materials to the Acton Institute.

Named after distinguished American theologian Michael Novak, this $10,000 award rewards new outstanding scholarly research concerning the relationship between religion, economic freedom, and the free and virtuous society. This award recognizes those scholars early in their academic career who demonstrate outstanding intellectual merit in advancing the understanding of theology’s connection to human dignity, the importance of the rule of law, limited government, religious liberty, and freedom in economic life.
