Centro Cardinal Bea per gli Studi Giudaici

We are pleased to invite you to the Brenninkmeijer-Werhahn 2014 events, the lecture series "Littera et Spiritus. Jewish-Christian spiritual talks on texts of the First (Old) Testament.”
This lecture series is part of the Cardinal Bea Centre's Annual Theme "One Scripture - the One and the Other Tradition" and will follow a singular arrangement: On three evenings, Prof. Yair Zakovitch from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will be joined by a Catholic Scholar (and representative of one of the great Catholic Spiritualities) to present readings of a commonly chosen biblical text.
On February 18, Prof. Zakovitch and Prof. Luigi Gioia, OSB of the Pontifical Athenaeum of S. Anselm will deal with the theme "Wisdom and Folly: Are They so Different? (Proverbs 9:1-6 , 13-18 )."
On February 20Prof. Zakovitch and Prof. Marco Nobile, OFM of the Pontifical University Antonianum will discuss the theme of "The Garden of Eden in the Days to Come (Isaiah 11:1-10)."
On February 25, Prof. Zakovitch meets Prof. Mark Rotsaert, SJ of the Pontifical Gregorian University and the theme they will treat is " How to Find God (1 Kings 19:1-18 ).”
The events, free and open to the public, will take place at 6.00pm in the lecture theatre C008 of the Pontifical Gregorian University and will be both in English and Italian with simultaneous translation (poster invitation attached).
